Import volumes through Vladivostok port decreased by 40%

VladivostokImport volumes through Vladivostok port decreased by 40% for the first four months of 2015, compared with the same period last year. The decline occurred in almost all products, as motor vehicles and parts import decreased with 50%, equipment with 60%, meat and meat products by 40%. Also according to the authorities and customs there is a significant decrease in seafood imports, as since the beginning of the year were important 3500 tonnes of marine products, or decrease of 53% YoY. After all the total volume of foreign trade turnover through the Vladivostok port since the beginning of the year amounted to about 2.8 billion USD, which is 36% less than same period of 2014.

The port of Vladivostok is one of the largest in Far East. In 2014, the turnover across the customs authorities of the Far East amounted to 26.8 billion USD, while in 2013 it was 11% more.
