WhatsApp Desktop Version for Windows and Mac has Finally Arrived

The newly arrival of WhatsApp with new changes for Windows and Mac intensified user to get a cool start with WhatsApp desktop. It is certainly welcoming that WhatsApp has introduced a desktop app which will be used both on Windows and Mac. The already seen and experienced features like shortcuts will be offered by WhatsApp desktop clients. Nevertheless, this unique & distinctive feature will not be available for communication platform on a different mobile version.

A blog post of WhatsApp expresses this as, “Today we’re introducing a desktop app so you have a new way to stay in touch anytime and anywhere – whether on your phone or computer at home or work. Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device.”

The download can be accessed by simply visiting WhatsApp’s blog from a desktop browser. You are required to open the app and scan the QR code by using the WhatsApp application on a smartphone. Check the under Setting, given in this menu of WhatsApp Web.

Some features will also be available for systems which are to be synchronized with WhatsApp on a smartphone, including Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9 +. Users will be able to get the support of other features like better keyboard shortcuts, most importantly desktop notifications and much more as well.

WhatsApp has been popular in the news for sometimes. WhatsApp is reportedly said to be working on video calls. Now, the company irrespective of doubts, speeding up the provision of better service by introducing dozens of new features like secure file folder ‘zip file sharing support’, voicemail and call back option along with NFC tags including group invites. While Android Police holds that calls are coming very soon to WhatsApp but its launching date to beta participants or to everyone else as a system of voice calls is not known and it is yet to wait for being on news track.

Moreover, the leaked report unveil the group invites option that is to be sent through links and NFC tags. WhatsApp is also trying to apply different methods with which members of a restricted group can ask other WhatsApp users to join.

A report by PhoneRadar has recently stated that WhatsApp for iOS and Android will also be available to get a ‘Call Back’ for showing notifications for a missed call with a call back option. The addition of this new option will enable users to dial back without opening WhatsApp.

Reports also rumored that WhatsApp will also introduce voicemail for a different operating system, especially for iOS devices. Users will be enabled to send a voice mail in the midst of a call via ‘Record Voice Mail’ and ‘Send Voice Mail’ buttons. One can use voicemail to record and share in-call audio.
