Australian Government Website – Inglewood & Districts Health Service Of Victoria Hacked

The official website of Inglewood & Districts Health Service Of Victoria, an Australian Government website had been hacked & defaced by a hacker claiming to be “Admirale_Mouh”. At the time of publishing this news article, the website remained defaced. No web pages were accessible of the website.

The hacker left a message on the website saying “0wn3d By Admirale_Mouh”. No special reason for the hack was displayed. We aren’t exactly sure how the hacker had gained access to the website that led it to a defacement.  it does appear that the website was using an open source CMS called. We aren’t sure if any data has been stolen from the website or server.

According to our research, it does appear that the website was using an open source CMS called WordPress. It could have been hacked due to a vulnerable or an outdated plugin that may have been installed on the website.

While searching up about Admirale_Mouh on Zone-H archive, the hacker appears to be from Algeria. The hacker had defaced 500 websites since 2014. All of the hacks appears to be for no specific reason.

This hack certainly raises a question over the Australian Government website and server security. We will update you about the hack as soon as we receive new updates.
